Laptop Ssd Review

Difference between laptop and desktop SSDs?
I’m trying to buy a SSD for my new laptop. When I got browsing for SSDs, they don’t say if they are for desktops or laptops? Also, from what I’ve been seeing on the reviews for SSDs on Newegg, some people installed it on their desktops and some on their laptops and it seems to work fine. How do I know which SSD to buy and can anyone recommend a specific model/manufacture to buy from? I’m looking for around 128 GB – 256 GB and want the biggest bang for the buck. Thanks!
The only difference now between a Desktop and a Laptop drive these days is size. Laptop drives are 2.5″, and Desktop drives are 3.5″. Most SSD drives are 2.5″ (some even smaller) and since they all use a SATA II connection, there really is no difference between a “laptop” SSD and a “desktop” SSD. People who have SSD’s in their desktops usually either install them in their floppy bays (since it’s 2.5″) or they get a 3.5″ brace for their SSD.
I have no personal experience with SSD’s, but some of the big names are A-Data, OCZ, Crucial, Corsair, Intel, and Kingston.
This Kingston drive apparently got the Great Value award from PureoverClock.
