Laptop Or Desktop For Wow
What should be the minium specs to purchase or build a laptop for the games below?
I don’t want to buy a new laptop/desktop until The Sims 3 come out. On this same system, I would also like to play World of Warcraft, Second Life, and Wizard 101. I know Wizard 101 doesn’t take up much space but Sl, WoW and TS3 definitely do. Any suggestions for the minimum specs I would need. You can state by budget but I will like you top put as if money is no object. $ is an issue but I like to save up to my goals. Can you by Terabyte drives by themselves? What are the essential items for a gaming/media pc/laptop? Thanks everyone for your assistance.

It depends on what setting and resolution you want to run it on. But if you love high resolution and details, skip the laptop completely and get a desktop. The laptop will $1500+ if the Sims3 graphics are good. You can get the same performance on a $800 or so desktop. WoW and SL can run on just about any computer, I don’t know what TS3 stand for, so I can’t help you there. You can get a 1TB hard drive if you get a desktop, the biggest I’ve seen on a laptop is 500GB a drive. If you’re considering buying a pre-built one, consider Alienware, the cheapest one should do for you, just change the hard drive capacity you need and 3GB of ram. If you’re wondering what Alienware is, it’s a gaming computer company under Dell.
If you’re going to build one, get a quad core 2.5ghz should do, 4GB, a 9800GT, 500W power supply, and your hard drive. The rest is up to you.
If you want a laptop, just remember they get outdated really fast, as people like portability over performance, which mean more focus on laptops. And computers are trying to be more efficient which is really hard right now.
