Laptop Keeps Freezing Not Responding
Sims 2 keeps not responding on my laptop but World of Warcraft works fine what is wrong!!!!!!?
Every time I install sims 2 onto my laptop (Inspiron 1525) it runs vista, but anyways every time I go to use it the game stops responding right when I start create a Sim, I downloaded patches for the game but that did not help either. I play World of Warcraft and it works awesome, I have enough memory and all that stuff but it just freezes and it annoys me. I play zoo tycoon 2 also on it and that works well too. I want to play sims really badly. Do I have to get a “laptop friendly” version if one exists? Please help me with my dilemma.
You have integrated graphics, Intel GMA x3100, and that won’t cut it for the Sims 2+ Vista. You need a good dedicated card as listed in this EA Games article: http://thesims2.ea.com/help/detail.php?help_id=281
You cannot upgrade your graphics if you have a 1525, so yes your best bet is to get one of the ‘laptop compatible’ games like Castaway Stories, Pet Stories etc which are designed for integrated graphics.
